I’m always doodling something or trying to put an idea down on paper. What I end up with is more sketches than I know what to do with and a hundred potential projects. Here I’ve got some that I thought turned out pretty well!
So I play Magic: the Gathering, and adore hunting for cards with artwork I find cool (I might be the only person who actually likes the art card series) but I had the thought that I could make a mock up of my own art to stretch the graphic design muscles. Below, we have the original ‘Vren, the Relentless’ card (created by Kevin Sidharta for WotC), my sketches for let’s say my fan art, and the end result.
I am a lover of OCs, and this lady was designed as a little character design exercise. She was originally an elegant goddess straight out of some fantasy rpg, and the more I drew her the more awkward 80s mother she got.
